The Summerfield Mk-4

The new machine is the culmination of all I have learnt while building and riding many miles on my Penny Farthings.
I have now finished making anymore Pennyfarthings until I come back from my attempt at riding my machine around the world..

The main differences between the Mk-3 and Mk-4 are as follows..

Mk-4
Material used is 4130 moly tubing.
My own rear twin tube rear forks giving a much nicer look.
The backbone is tapered from 1 3/8" to 1" at the rear forks.
16" solid tyred rear wheel fitted.
Smaller swan neck.
More attractive way of fitting handle bars.

Working out of my new workshop in Greenwich, London, the first bike starts to take shape.
